RECIPES FROM MOM

My sister Kathy called me today.
Said "I'm gonna be a grandma, the baby is on her way."
But she is in Arizona and that's so far,
She comes by airplane since it quicker than a car.
Excitement in the air as they announce the birth.
Kathy's a grandma, this is her first.
She is so excited to bring Payton home.
A new inspiration to write a poem.
So let's celebrate with Kathy with her special treat.
I begged and pleaded for her recipe that can't be beat.

Kathy’s Bean Dip

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Brown 1 pound ground beef with one onion and layer mix in a casserole dish with the following ingredients:

1 can of refried beans warmed with 1/4 cup milk (for sauce)
1 large container sour cream
1 jar salsa
grated cheddar cheese (leave enough for layer on top)

Cook about 25 minutes, until bubbly and the cheese is melted, then serve hot with favorite corn chips or tortilla chips.
